How it is built

A UI or social mockup is a frame pretending to be a real product. The skeleton is the device or feed chrome, a content area with real hierarchy, and type that looks like a shipped interface rather than a poster. You change the platform chrome, the number of modules, the screenshot content, and the marketing crop around the device. Lock the system UI: status bar, tab bar, safe areas, and logo placement. Fake data, illustrations inside the screen, and the environment around the phone are controls. If the model invents extra buttons, misspells navigation, or warps the bezel, designers cannot use the frame. Count the modules, name the platform, and keep the chrome boring so the content can sell.

Watch-outs

  1. 01Name the platform and keep system chrome boring and complete.
  2. 02Count the modules. Extra invented buttons are not “richer UI.”
  3. 03Type inside the screen must look like UI type, not poster type.
  4. 04Do not let the bezel warp; a melted phone is not a mockup.
