Prompt

@[char ref]: , a clumsy young woman in her twenties: black messy bob, olive eyes, gold drop earrings and pendant, cream slip dress under an oversized off-shoulder cream shirt, bare feet. Take only her identity and outfit; render one normal scene, never the sheet layout, its backdrop or copies of her. Visual style: Hand-drawn 2D Japanese animated feature film. Lush hand-painted watercolor backgrounds, soft clean linework with flat cel colors, warm nostalgic autumn palette. Expressive character animation, playful comic timing. Avoid: No subtitles, no on-screen text, no sound-effect lettering, no logos, no dialogue. In a cluttered wooden workshop, Hina carves one plain, uncut pumpkin into a sinister jack-o'-lantern, then scares herself with its shadow. The same pumpkin stays at the center of a worn oak table: round, deep orange, with a thick curved green stem and a smooth, uncut front. A desk lamp stands at the table's back right, a white bowl sits at screen left, and a small serrated knife with a short blade and red handle, a steel spoon, a black marker, a white tealight and long fireplace matches lie in a row at screen right. Hina stands behind the table facing the lens and leans over to work on the pumpkin's front, which also faces the lens. A bare plaster wall rises a few steps in front of the table, behind the camera in front views, so Hina faces it. Sound: a whimsical orchestral waltz and playful foley; the music cuts when the lamp clicks off. Shot list: 8 shots, about 15 seconds. Scene 1: Continuous, at the oak table, lamp on. Shot 1 (0-2s): Medium shot, slightly low angle; the camera quickly pushes in to a medium close-up. Hina, behind the table, thumps the whole, uncut pumpkin down with both hands; it bounces once and settles. Cut as it settles. Shot 2 (2-4s): Macro side view at lid height, locked-off camera; the pumpkin's skin is still whole and uncut. The small knife already in her right hand, her left hand steadies the pumpkin as the knife saws one fast circle around the stem, blade angled inward; then she grips the stem and yanks the cone-shaped lid up, revealing a dark, seed-packed interior as gooey strands stretch like melted cheese and snap. Cut on the snap. Scene 2: Moments later, the same table. Shot 3 (4-6s): Medium shot from the front, eye level; the camera slowly pushes in to a medium close-up. The lid lies on its side at screen right, its pale cut underside toward the lens, the small knife flat beside it. The pumpkin's front is still smooth and uncut, the inside dark. Hina, behind the pumpkin, tongue out in concentration, digs into the open top with the steel spoon in frantic scoops and flings seeds and stringy pulp into the bowl at screen left until the hollow is clean. Cut as she slaps the empty spoon down. Shot 4 (6-8s): Front close-up of the pumpkin's still smooth, uncut front, eye level, locked-off camera, Hina's face visible above the stem. With the black marker she draws in fast strokes, only ink lines on the skin, two triangular eyes tilted inward into a scowl, a triangular nose and a wide jagged grin with sharp zigzag teeth, her own face scowling to match. Cut as she finishes the last tooth. Shot 5 (8-10s): Macro shot on the grin line, eye level; the camera quickly pulls back to a close-up of the whole face. The small knife in her right hand pushes into the same black line and saws along the sketch in short strokes, center outward: the nose, both eyes, then the grin. The cut pieces pop out and drop onto the table; behind the openings the hollow is empty and dark, the tealight still unlit in the row at screen right. She lays the knife flat at screen right. Cut as it lands. Scene 3: Moments later, lighting the candle. Shot 6 (10-11s): Overhead insert into the open top, locked-off camera. Hina's left hand sets the white tealight on the hollow's clean floor; her right hand lowers a long, already burning match, trembling. Cut as the flame touches the wick. Shot 7 (11-13s): Medium shot from the front, low angle; the camera slowly pushes in toward the pumpkin. The wick catches, and orange light blasts out through the nose, eyes and grin. Hina stands behind the pumpkin with empty hands, the small knife lying flat at screen right; she reaches back with her left hand and clicks off the desk lamp, and the workshop drops into darkness. Her face lit from below, she glances up past the lens at the wall and her eyes go wide with fright. Cut as she gasps. Shot 8 (13-15s): Reverse shot from behind Hina, low angle, locked-off camera: her back and the pumpkin's glowing top in the near foreground, the plaster wall ahead filling the frame. Thrown huge across the dark wall in flickering orange light is the carved face, matching its openings: two slanted triangles for eyes, a triangle nose and a wide jagged grin, many times her size. Still behind the table, empty-handed, she jolts back with a shriek, arms flailing, hair puffing up on end in silhouette against the giant face.
