How it is built

An interior or architecture view is a space you could walk through. The skeleton is a floor plane, walls or a facade, a camera at human height, and light that explains material. You change the program (kitchen, lobby, gallery), the era, the furniture density, and the time of day. Lock the number of openings, the structural rhythm of windows, and the scale of objects against the body. Plants, art, and styling props are controls. If the model invents impossible stairs, windows that ignore the grid, or furniture that floats, the image is a collage of rooms. Establish the camera and the sun first, then materials, then clutter. People, if any, exist only to prove scale.

Watch-outs

  1. 01Put the camera at human height unless you are drawing a plan.
  2. 02Lock window rhythm. Random openings are not a facade.
  3. 03Scale furniture against a body. Floating sofas give the room away.
  4. 04Describe sun direction before listing materials.
